As part of the first cohort of the Bachelor of Engineering in Mechatronics and Automation at Hochschule Bielefeld, my experience so far has been encouraging. The professors are supportive and approachable, and the administration is well organized and responsive to students' needs. Although the first semester focused mainly on mathematics and basic computer science, it provided a solid foundation for the more technical engineering modules that are coming next. One challenge is that, as an English-taught program, the library currently offers limited English resources, which can be difficult for non-German speakers. Overall, the program feels well structured and promising, especially for students interested in combining mechanical, electrical, and automation systems in a modern engineering environment.
